(KMOV)-- It was a busy week for the Schnuck’s store in Godfrey, Illinois, where police say three people were caught stealing bottles of liquor.
The store is located at 2712 Godfrey Road. On Monday, William Green, 42, was taken into custody after he was seen taking four bottles of liquor from the store without paying. Police say he then hid the alcohol in a drainage ditch.
Green was convicted of Retail Theft in 2009 in Madison County, which makes this charge eligible for a felony.
Bond for Green was set at $15,000.
On Thursday around 1:00 a.m., authorities arrested Charity McQueen for allegedly putting a bottle of vodka in her purse. She went through the checkout line, where she paid for other items, but did not pay for the vodka.
McQueen also has a 2009 conviction for Retail Theft in Madison County, which makes her charge a felony, as well.
Her bond was set for $15,000.
Later in the morning Thursday around 6:00 a.m., police say Jessie Garcia, 19, put a bottle of liquor under his clothes and left the store. Authorities stopped him in the parking lot.
Deputies took Garcia into custody, when he was then taken to the Madison County Jail.
He was charged with a misdemeanor for Retail Theft and Unlawful Possession of Alcohol by a Minor.
Bond was set at $2,000.
