Three teens arrested in Jennings for burglarizing home where homicide occurred

(KMOV)-- Jennings Police arrested 3 men Tuesday in connection to a burglary at an apartment where a homicide occurred a day earlier.

Police say they were investigating burglaries on the 2600 block of Tyrell when they discovered the apartment where a homicide occurred Monday, had been burglarized.

Authorities say that while clearing the residence for suspects, a Jennings Officers observed three adult males fleeing the apartment directly above the apartment.

Police stopped all three and it was determined that they had committed burglaries in two apartments. All three men, ages 17 to 18, were arrested. 

According to police, one of the men arrested made a statement indicating that he knew the apartment would unoccupied.
Police say that warrants have not yet been issued on the suspects because the Jennings Police Department is investigating the suspect’s involvement in over a dozen other burglaries throughout the area.  
The investigation is ongoing.
