Zia's giving back to honor firefighters who saved restaurant

The owners of Zia's cannot stop showing their appreciation for the St. Louis Fire Department.

Back in August 2009 a devastating fire shut down the restaurant on The Hill for six months.  It could have been way worse.  Co-owner Cory Chiodini says if not for the quick response and care by St. Louis firefighters the building would have likely burned to the ground and there would be no Zia's today.

They reopened a year ago and to celebrate for the next two weeks (January 17 - 31) Zia's will donate 10% of sales to The Backstoppers (www.thebackstoppers.org) and The St. Louis Fire Department Life Saving Foundation (www.lifesavingfoundation.org).

Chiodini says they may make this an annual thing.

Zia's is located at 5256 Wilson Avenue.
