(KMOV) – One of the businesses hit by the Sunset Hills tornado on New Year’s Eve is trying to help out neighbors who lost their homes.
O’Leary’s has reopened after being damaged by the tornado. Wednesday night, the restaurant and bar raised money for the 13 residents who live in the nine houses that were destroyed.
The city has already received $90,000 in donations.
The mayor says that every single penny raised will go to individuals affected by the storm. If what is collected exceeds need, excess funds will be donated to charity.
