Icy waters force closure of two Illinois ferries

(KMOV)-- Two ferries on the Illinois River are closed because of icy waters.

The Kampsville Ferry and Brussels Ferry were shut down Wednesday. The closures will remain in effect until the ice thaws.

The routes for these ferries go to Calhoun and Green Counties.

The Illinois Department of Transportation suggests using the Hardin Bridge to get to Calhoun County.
