(KMOV)--A Texas woman is in custody Tuesday, after being accused of taking a 16-year-old runaway boy from St. Francois County to a motel in Texas to have sex.
Bedford police arrested Katrina Childress, 32, Saturday after police in Bedford, Texas connected her vehicle to a missing 16-year-old boy from Missouri.
According to police on Saturday around 4:00 p.m., a Bedford Police Officer located the a white Chevrolet van with no rear license plate, in the parking lot of America's Best Value Inn at 2501 Airport Freeway in Bedford.
Police found the juvenile with Childress along with her two children in the area.
During the investigation, Childress admitted that she met the juvenile though text messages and that after a several months he left his residence to live with her. Almost immediately, they left Missouri to avoid being located.
Childress admitted to police that she knew the boy was only 16 and not of legal age to leave home.
Investigation and interviews revealed that Childress and the juvenile had been involved in a sexual relationship.
The juvenile was detained and ultimately released to County Authorities.
Childress was arrested in Texas on one charge of unlawful restraint with a $15,000 bond, and one charge of sexual assault with a $25,000 bond.
Missouri has obtained a warrant for Childress on one charge of endangering the welfare of a child in the 1st degree with a $25,000 bond.
She is currently in custody at Tarrant County.
Her two minor children were released to the care of Texas Child Protective Services, on Saturday evening.
