Jennings officer resigns after shooting incident

(KMOV)--A press conference will be held Monday at 3:00p.m. at the Jennings Police Station in regards to the resignation of a police officer.

Officer David Hauck, a 3 year veteran of the Jennings Police Department, submitted his letter of resignation on Friday after being placed on suspension pending an investigation.

Hauck was being investigated after an incident where he discharged his weapon at a moving vehicle while a child was inside.

During the press conference St. Louis County Police Captain Troy Doyle will release a video of the incident that was taken from a police dash cam.

Captain Doyle accepted Officer Hauck’s resignation, and supports him on his decision.
