(KMOV)-- Three people are in custody on drug and gun charges after police responded to reports of gunfire in Bethalto.
 
Officers got the call Thursday afternoon and went to the house at 3444 Harris Lane.
 
Deputies found Terry Smith and Jon Wicker firing a rifle and handgun in the backyard.
 
Smith is a convicted felon.
 
Police say both men had been drinking, and there was a home within 100 feet of where they were shooting.
 
When authorities searched the residence, they reportedly found Wicker in possession marijuana and Michelle Mason in possession of a pipe.
 
Smith was charged with Unlawful Possession of a Weapon by a Felon, and along with Wicker, Reckless Conduct.
 
Wicker was also charged with Unlawful Possession of Cannabis, and he and Mason were both charged with Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
 
Bond is set for Smith at $20,000. Wicker is held on a $300 cash bond, and Mason is held on a $100 cash bond.
 
All are being held at the Madison County Jail.
