Jupiter, Fla (KMOV) - It's another beautiful afternoon here in Jupiter after what began as a very windy morning.

More and more players continue to make their way to the Roger Dean Stadium complex in preparation for spring training. Among the newcomers working out today was Kyle Lohse, who didn't take the mound but warmed up and ran with the pitchers.

Left-hander Jaime Garcia, who hopes to earn the fifth starter spot in the rotation, did throw however. He looks ready for spring training to get underway, his curveball showing a lot of bite. Kyle Mcclellan, who also is competing for the last rotation spot, threw as well.

On the field opposite of where pitchers ran sprints, infield position players who arrived at camp early worked on some fielding drills (Check out the video of their work in our top videos sections). Skip Schumaker and Tyler Greene were the most notable infielders working out today. Greene's role in camp will definitely expand after last week's news of Brendan Ryan's wrist surgery. Greene has a chance to really cement a spot on the roster.

Tony LaRussa is scheduled to arrive later today, so keep your eyes peeled for that information. Rumor has it McGwire is arriving as well. If that's the case, I'll be doing my best to capture the event. And it will be an event.

Be sure to keep checking back for spring training news as it becomes available.
