One second its a lottery advertisement, the next second, fugitive Jeremy Stanley's face is towering over i-55/70.
The billboard is owned by Midamerica Outdoor Advertisement. Owner Robert Connors says his company can easily change the message or put up a mug shot or composite picture of a suspect to catch violent criminals.
It is a proven law enforcement method. Midamerica's billboard in Missouri netted a murder suspect. Jeremy Stanley's billboard got extended viewing because police said they were getting good tips from it.
Connors started this effort after he heard the father of a murdered Kansas City girl speak about how many methods, including billboards, were used to finally catch her killer and bring him to justice.
