It may sound odd, but that is exactly what police in Maryland Heights tell us is happening. Last weekend, sometime over night between Saturday and Sunday, someone broke into 11 cars and none of the owners had any clue. Police suspect that the thieves used a screw driver to pry open the car windows instead of throwing a rock. In all, the thieves got away with several GPS units, radar detectors and car stereos. If you have any information about the break-ins you’re asked to call the police. The break-ins occurred at three apartment complexes and neighboring homes in the Marine and Dorsett area in Maryland Heights.
