(KMOV)-- Some Missouri lawmakers push for a statewide smoking ban.

The statewide ban would prohibit smoking in some places not covered by the bans that will take effect next year in St. Louis city and county.
One notable location is gaming facilities like casinos. Smoking would also be banned at 80% of hotel and motel rooms, bars, restaurants, and sports arenas including enclosed places in outdoor arenas.
The bill's sponsors Representative Walt Bivins of St. Louis and Representative Jill Schupp from Creve Coeur. It hasn't been scheduled for a hearing.
