Jefferson County: Man charged with child-porn possession

St. Louis, MO: Stephen Paul Allen was indicted on charges of receipt and possession of child pornography, United States Attorney Richard G. Callahan announced today.

The indictment alleges that between December 20, 2008 and March 12, 2009, Allen received video files containing child pornography; and on March 12, 2009, Allen was in possession of child pornography.

Allen, 49, Imperial, MO, was indicted January 28, 2010, by a federal grand jury on one felony count each of receipt and possession of child pornography.  He appeared this morning in federal court in St. Louis.

If convicted, receipt of child pornography carries a penalty range of five to 20 years in prison and/or fines up to $250,000; possession of child pornography carries a maximum penalty of ten years in prison and/or fines up to $250,000.
