(KMOV)- The young man accused of killing a St. Louis police officer was found guilty this evening.
Antonio Andrews, 17, was found guilty of murder in the 1st degree in the shooting death of Officer Norvelle Brown.
The jury deliberated for around 6 hours after a very swift two-day trial.
Prosecutors say Antonio Andrews, then 15, shot and killed Officer Norvelle Brown as Brown was chasing him two years ago.
Brown had apparently pulled up in his police car near where Andrews and a friend were walking, at that point they started running and moments later, Andrews allegedly shot Brown.
Andrews attorney said he was not the shooter and witness statements aren't consistent.
