Trial underway for teen charged with killing St. Louis police officer

(KMOV)-- The trial is now under way for a teenager charged with killing a St. Louis police officer.

Antonio Andrews was only 15 when prosecutors say he shot and killed Officer Norvelle Brown.

Back in August 2007, police say Andrews shot Officer Brown while the officer chased him in north St. Louis.

The 22-year-old Brown had been on the force for one year.

Andrews is charged with 1st degree murder. Prosecutors are not seeking the death penalty.
