(KMOV/AP) -- A five-year-old girl was released from the hospital after being shot in her home.
The girl was sleeping in the East St. Louis home in the 2100 block of Cleveland when the shooting occurred.
Police say the girl was asleep in her home early Tuesday when a man knocked on the front door. When he was refused entry, he allegedly sprayed the front of the home with bullets, striking the girl and her parents.
The mother and father were also sleeping at the time of the shooting. They have non-life threatening injuries.
Police do not have any suspects or a motive in this case.
