(KMOV) -- Kids are back in their classrooms after a water main break flooded several rooms.
Firefighters worked quickly at William Holliday Elementary in Fairview Heights, Ill. to clean up the mess and get the floors dry for students.
School crews arrived around 6:00 a.m. on Wednesday to discover water from the sprinkler system pouring into the gym and down the hall.
Seven classrooms were also flooded.
Crews don't know what caused the water main to break overnight.
There is construction underway in the area but it is unclear if that caused the break.
