ST. CHARLES, Mo (KMOV.com)—As severe wind and rain tore through the region Tuesday, one St. Charles home was actually battling flames.
A home located on Park Charles Boulevard was struck by lightning and caught fire.
A neighbor heard a loud clap of thunder and saw lightning flash at same time. Minutes later, they say they smelled smoke.
Flames burned through roof of the home before firefighters extinguished the flames. Neighbors say there was no one home at the time of the fire.
