EAST ST. LOUIS, Ill. (KMOV) -- A spokesperson for East St. Louis School District 189 confirms an assistant principal at the East St. Louis High School was taken to the hospital after a fight broke out on Friday, but says the injuries were not a result of the fight.
The spokesperson said three male students began fighting and when a group of students ran to watch, they ran into the assistant principal, knocking her down. When she fell, she hit her head on the ground.
