Missouri safety Kentronte Walker was named the SEC Defensive Player of the Week on Monday for his game-saving efforts made against Arizona State at Faurot Field on Saturday.
With ASU facing fourth and goal at the Mizzou 3 with just under 4 minutes to go, Walker broke up a throw and forced a turnover on downs.
After a three and out by the Tigers, ASU moved the ball to the Missouri 20 with just less than a minute to go. But Walker was there to stop the momentum, picking off an overthrown ball in the end zone.
The interception effectively sealed the game.
