Hazelwood man charged for exposing himself no longer in custody

A man was arrested for reportedly exposing himself to two people.

Authorities said Kevin Hake, 30, was charged with misdemeanor sexual misconduct.

Hazelwood police said two cases lead to his arrest. In the first case, Hake is accused of pulling his shorts down and exposing himself to a 19-year-old woman. This happened at a gas station in the 1600 block of Howdershell. The victim was able to get Hake’s license plate number and police tracked him down. He is facing a municipal misdemeanor charge.

On Oct. 29, a 15-year-old girl was walking along Coachway Lane and reported that a man drove up, made a sexual comment, and then exposed himself. The victim ran away and contacted police. Hazelwood police said the victim was given a photo line-up and identified Hake.

Hake was arrested Tuesday night. He admitted to exposing himself to both victims. The Hazelwood police chief told News 4 that Hake said he has been doing this all over the county and that he needs help.

News 4 checked with Webster Grove police who have been searching for a suspect accused of flashing children in Hazelwood and Brentwood. Webster Grove police interviewed Hake but do not believe he was involved in the West County cases.

Hake is now out of police custody after posting bond.
