For kids and kids at heart, here's your White Christmas update:
A storm system will move through Tuesday and Wednesday, but right now the forecast projections are leaning towards mostly rain. That's because just as the cold, below freezing air arrives Wednesday morning, the moisture will be leaving. If today's forecast holds, it doesn't look like we'll see snow on the ground for Christmas.
But wait! There's still a chance. If the cold air comes in quicker Wednesday morning or if enough moisture is leftover, we could get a quick shot of snow Wednesday morning which would stick around through Christmas morning. Eventhough that scenario is a bit of a long shot, the models could change in that direction this weekend. So tune in to News4 or check out our forecast here on the web.
We'll watch it closely, in the meantime bundle up for the the cold and wind arriving Sunday.
