It will still be a little unsettled over the weekend but it could be worse. The cool front that moved through St. Louis early Friday morning has setteled over southern Missouri where it will set up shop for the next couple of days. As a result most of the rain will fall south of our area although southern sections of our viewing area could see some locally heavy rain. Hit and miss showers appear likely in St. Louis on Saturday and Sunday primarily in the early part of the day. Temperatures will remain below normal though. Look for improvement on Monday and Tuesday of next week (as in drier and warmer).
Finally. I have two kids who will be attending their high school prom this weekend. In my 30 years of broadcasting I can say without a doubt that some of the most tragic and disturbing stories newcasters are forced to report on involve teens who die in traffic accidents. So talk to your kids about drinking and driving as well as making good decisions. I made a pact with my kids. Call me anytime, day or night, I'll come and get you and your firends or I'll send a cab. No questions asked - no repercussions.
Have a great - and safe - weekend.
