Well we can at least guarantee that the Rams won't lose this week. Of course because they don't play. As I look at the rest of the season if Jim Haslett can get this team to 5-11 then he should get the job. Their schedule is still brutal and doesn't get any easier over the next 3 weeks with a trip to Washington, home against the Cowboys and on the road at New England. The firing of Scott Linehan will do nothing in the short term but hopefully this franchise is starting to turn the corner.
Here are the picks for this weekend's games....
Kansas City vs. Carolina: How the Chiefs beat Denver last week is mystifying. They won't make it two in a row this week. Pick: Panthers
Chicago vs. Detroit: The Lions have been just as bad as the Rams this season. I think the Bears will be in for a tougher game then they think but I will still give the game to Chicago. Pick: Bears
Atlanta vs. Green Bay: The pattern appears to be set on the Falcons. Great home team, bad road team. Pick: Packers
San Diego vs. Miami: Everyone keeps touting the Chargers as a possible Super Bowl team. Someone needs to make a call to Jack Murphy Stadium and wake them up because the season has started and they have looked flat for the first four games.
Seattle vs. NY Giants: New rule with picks. Unless two NFC West teams are playing against each other I will not pick one for awhile. Pick: NY Giants
Washington vs. Philadelphia: There is no question the NFC East is the best division in the NFL. But do we need all the east coast media shoving it down everyone's throats all week. Pick: Eagles
Tennessee vs. Baltimore: The Ravens are a pretty good football team but I am getting the feeling that the Titans might have a special team. Pick: Titans
Indianapolis vs. Houston: The Colts are another team that needs a wakeup call. Luckily the pourous Texans defense is just what they need. Pick: Colts
Tampa Bay vs. Denver: Nobody wants to play the Buccaneers right now. But a trip to Denver is always tough. Pick: Broncos
Buffalo vs. Arizona: Last I checked the Cardinals are in the West so we know the rule. By the way I hope Kurt Warner is picking up the tab on Anquan Boldin's injury. How can you hang a receiver out like that? Pick: Bills
New England vs. San Francisco: This should have been a Tom Brady homecoming. Instead this is a Matt Cassel can he keep this team playoff worthy game. Pick: Patriots
Cincinnati vs. Dallas: There is absolutely no chance the Bengals win on the road. Pick: Cowboys
Pittsburgh vs. Jacksonville: The Monday night game between the Steelers and Ravens was as physical of a game as you will see. To have a short week then go on the road and play another physical team is a bad combination. Pick: Jaguars
Minnesota vs. New Orleans: The Vikings are a team that should be better and just aren't. I'll take the home team in this one. Pick: Saints
Last Week: 10-3 (.769)
Season: 44-16 (.733)
