(KMOV.com) – The EPA has completed radiation testing outside of the Bridgeton Landfill.
The testing came to attention when a baseball tournament was cancelled at the Bridgeton Municipal Athletic Complex for fear of elevated radiation levels.
The EPA collected readings from 60 different point within the park and took over 100 soil samples. Samples were also collected from two other parks that are four miles away which will serve as benchmarks for normal radiation readings.
Results of the radiation testing will be available within 30 to 60 days.
