ST. LOUIS (AP) -- Members of St. Louis’ Bosnian community are pitching in to provide help for those in their homeland who are suffering during severe flooding.
KMOX Radio reports that the St. Louis Bosnian community has sent a shipping container filled with food, water, clothes and household essentials. Efforts continue to raise $300,000.
Flooding is blamed in more than four dozen deaths and has affected at least 40 percent of Bosnia. The publisher of a Bosnian-American newspaper in St. Louis calls it the worst tragedy in Bosnia since the war.
