(KMOV) – A teen is in the hospital after she drove into a creek near De Soto, Mo. early Wednesday morning.
According to police, the 17-year-old woman was driving south on Route V near Hardin Rd. around 4 a.m. when she went into the northbound lane.
The teen overcorrected and lost control of the vehicle, which went off the right side of the road and down an embankment. The vehicle then struck a rock and tree and landed in a creek.
The woman was transported to the hospital with serious injuries. Her condition was unknown.
