(KMOV) – Authorities are searching for the driver who bumped a Brooklyn police officer with his vehicle after being pulled over Monday morning.
According to police, the officer pulled over a vehicle for a traffic stop around 3:50 a.m.
Police say the officer got out of his car and began talking to the suspect. That’s when the suspect pulled away, knocking the officer down as he drove off.
Authorities say the officer got back in his car and began chasing the suspect across the Mississippi River in Missouri.
The chase continued until speeds reached more than 100 mph and the officer stopped pursuing.
Police say they have a person of interest in the case and are determined to track him down.
