(KMOV.com) – Ivor David Baulding, the founder of Circus Flora, passed away at his home on Friday night.

Baulding, 75, founded Circus Flora in St. Louis in 1987. Circus Flora is a nonprofit performing arts organization which specializes in one-ring circus production and showcases both humans and animals.

A spokesperson for Circus Flora said Baulding had been in poor health recently but continued working up until his death.

Circus Flora takes place in the arts district at Grand Center every summer. In addition to their one-ring production, they have a year-round “Clowns on Call” program which brings laughter to thousands of patients and their families at local children’s hospitals.
