EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. (AP) -- A former St. Louis police officer involved in a 2008 shooting in southwestern Illinois has been sentenced on a weapons charge.
Bryan Pour was sentenced to four years probation with a six month jail sentence on Wednesday in Madison County. Pour pleaded guilty in August to a felony count of aggravated discharge of a firearm.
Pour was accused in the November 2008 shooting that wounded another man outside of Mac N Mick's Sports Bar & Grill in Pontoon Beach. Pour's attorney says his client was attacked outside the bar and mistakenly shot the victim, who was trying to help him.
