Bobby Ratliff, 54, was found dead inside his Winfield, Missouri home Wednesday morning.
The Major Case Squad was called in after an autopsy on Ratliff raised suspicions. Authorities are not releasing the details of the autopsy.
They are saying that they have advised all evidence and reports generated from this investigation to be forwarded to the Lincoln County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office to be reviewed for criminal charges.
Ratliff had two drug-related convictions between 2000 and 2001.
His family says he was a nice, friendly man who would help anyone, but he had his "faults."
Investigators are looking for anyone who may have had interaction with Ratliff prior to Wednesday morning.
