(KMOV) -- A man has been charged in the police pursuit that ended with a crash in north St. Louis County.

Christopher Suddarth was charged with resisting arrest, speeding, along with other charges.

Berkeley police say they were doing a speed check in that area when a car drove by at 85 miles per hour. Police followed the car and the driver refused to stop.

The driver finally exited at Bermuda. That's when police say the car hit another car and then crashed into an abandoned gas station near Bermuda and San Diego. The car rolled onto its side and caught fire.

Suddarth was arrested on the scene and taken to a local hospital.

A woman who was in the car that he hit was also taken to a local hospital.
