JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (AP) -- Missouri's top law enforcer is suing a St. Louis-area man over alleged violations involving an underground storage tank at his Mississippi River marina.
Attorney General Chris Koster announced the lawsuit against Gerald Rohe, the St. Charles man who owns the Liberty Harbor Marina at Portage Des Sioux in St. Charles County.
Koster accuses Rohe of failing to shut down one of the marina's two tanks after it had been damaged, as well as illegally not maintaining corrosion protection and release-detection systems.
Koster's office is asking a judge for a preliminary and eventually permanent injunction ordering Rohe to bring the site up to compliance.
Rohe has an unlisted home telephone number and could not be reached for comment Wednesday. A listing for the marina has been disconnected.
