(KMOV) -- Drivers should expect lane closures on east bound Interstate 44 Monday evening.
The Missouri Department of Transportation will close two lanes of east bound I-44 starting at 7 p.m. to install new reflectors, which will make it easier for drivers to see in the rain. They will be installed directly on top of the white stripes.
One right lane will be closed between the Meramec River and the I-44/I-270 interchange. Two right lanes will be closed from the I-44/I-270 interchange to Berry Road.
The lane closures are expected to end at 5 a.m. Tuesday.
This work is part of the Interstate 44 project that involves re-striping the interstate back to four lanes. Pavement repairs will be made on westbound Interstate 44 and on the Vandeventer and Hampton ramps in preparation for the upcoming resurfacing work.
