Wentzville, Missouri-The Wentzville Fire Protection District will be holding a ceremony to commemorate the eighth anniversary of the terrorist attacks on September 11th, 2001. All citizens of our community and the surrounding area are invited. The ceremony will be held at the Fire Districts Headquarters Station #1 at 209 West Pearce Blvd., Wentzville, MO on Friday, September 11th, 2009 at 8:45 am.
Meadows Elementary Recognizes Community Heroes on 9-11
Students at Meadows Elementary in the Riverview Gardens School District will honor fallen heroes at a September 11 outdoor ceremony at 8:45 a.m. on Friday at the school, 9801 Edgefield Dr. Students will recognize their community heroes, such as fire fighters, police and other rescue workers. Members of the student council will lead students in a moment of silence and read quotes from Abraham Lincoln and Martin Luther King, Jr.
The Hispanic Festival Inc. is holding their annual Greater St. Louis Hispanic Festival at Soldiers Memorial Park on September 11, 12 and 13 in beautiful downtown St. Louis. The hours will be from 10am-10pm on September 11 and 12 and from 11am -9pm on September 13. We will be having a special service on September 11 to remember the victims of the September 11th.
Saint Louis University College Republicans event will feature 2,977 American flags on campus to remember those murdered on September 11th 2001. Saint Louis, MO - Saint Louis College Republicans will hold a memorial in remembrance of those who perished on September 11th 2001. The event will take place all day September 11th in the grass quad across from the Griesedieck complex. Additionally, College Republicans will be staffing a table on September 11th from 11pm - 2pm also in the quad where they will be handing out literature and interacting with the student body.
