If you've checked your email lately you've probably noticed that you're seeing more spam these days related to H1N1 medications.
A study a few months ago found that 4% of spam emails were related to H1N1. The percentage is probably higher these days as the number of cases continues to climb. The Food & Drug Administration ordered several medications off the internet. So what happened? You can probably already guess. Investigators received some plain white tablets that were supposed to be Tamiflu. They were, instead, a mixture of talc and acetaminophen. Some of these webites "disappeared" shortly after the order from the FDA.
But what clouds the waters even more is that there are some legit websites that people have bought medications from.
Best bet---forget the websites. Get your medication from your doc and the pharmacy.
