Just got word from the NTSB that it's investigating an incident involving Northwest Airlines Flight 188 on Wednesday, October 21st. The plane was flying from San Diego to Minneapolis and somewhere along the way their radios went out, but that wasn't what caused the feds to launch an investigation. At some point ground controllers finally established radio contact with the crew and told them that they had flown 150 miles past Minneapolis, their intended destination. How could this happen? The crew denied they were napping and told the FBI they were in a heated discussion about airline policy and got distracted.
