The Rams had 4th and 1 on the Seahawks 43 and decided to go for it....and it pays off with a Steven Jackson 15 yard run for a first down. I have no idea why teams don't go for it on the other side of the 50 and under a 4th and 2. The average play in the NFL is 4 yards so more likely than not you will make it. On top of that you have a big bruising running back in Steven Jackson. If you can't make a yard with those things going for you then you don't deserve to win. Add on top of that you are 2-11 and the decision is very simple. The Rams are driving. Hopefully the "gamble" will pay off in 7 points in moments.
