A game that should have been won has gone into the loss column. The Rams inability to put a game away has cost them. The Seahawks Olindo Mare kicked a game winning field goal with no time left to give the Seahawks a 23-20 win.
I don't even know where to begin in this one. What can't be debated is Mike Holmgren and his staff did an excellent job of making adjustments to win this game while Jim Haslett and his staff did not make enough adjustments to win. The Seahawks were unable to move the ball in the first half but in the second half had few problems. As well after moving the ball up and down the field in the first half the Rams could not generate much offense.
It all goes back to the same issues. Sloppy play with a lack of killer instinct continues to haunt this team. Earlier in the week I supported Jim Haslett keeping the head coaching job into 2009. While I still agree with this I don't want to hear him say that there are parts on this team to create a winning football team. The heart of this team is nowhere to be found week in and week out.
The Rams brass found out yet again that the problem with this team is not coaching. The biggest problem with this team is the lack of heart and inspired play coming from the locker room.
Please someone send the Rams fans a bailout this Christmas.
