First Week of the New Year

The first week of the new year is almost over and so far we have survived the Highway 40 shutdown.
I'm am super excited and thankful for this next year. I think the presidential race is going to be one of the most interesting and crucial ever.
I think that my Alabama football team has a real chance to finish in the top 20 BCS standings with our new recruits.

My goals this year:
To grow spiritually. My father should be proud. I have been going to church on a regular basis and journaling.

Sell my house. I know the market is slow but I also know it's meant to be. I'm not going far. Staying in the city.

Run a 10k and lose 10 pounds by Mardi Gras. I started running again and Kristen Cornett (our new meteorologist) won't stop telling me to sign up for a 10k with her, so why not?. Question is: Will these 33 year old knees let me? They are not loving the daily jogs so far.

Get financially fit. Kristen is helping me with that one, too. Which means cutting back on spontaneous trips to Target.

And I may welcome a new addition into my life by the end of the year. DOG. I'm talking about a DOG. I already know it will be a male and his name will be Saban. I just have to wait until the right time.

I'm thinking about a Goldendoodle.

That's enough to keep me busy for the next 6 months. I will let you know how it goes.
