Since I have no way of directly replying to comments on my blog, I will respond to "Charlie's" comment right here.
Here is what Charlie had to say about my last entry:
"You are spoiled and a little selfish. You make it sould like it is a bad thing to shop Target and Forever 21. Some people find these stores to be not only what they can afford but quality clothes. Sorry you have had to slow down your shopping at the upscale malls. Hope you haven't had to lower your standards to the average persons level because not everyone is as upsale as you think you are but you really aren't."
Charlie, you don't know me at all. If you did, you would know that I've never been into name brand clothing and I have been shopping at stores like Target and Forever 21 my entire life. You would also know that I would rather come to work wearing a tee shirt and jeans. I'm pretty low maintenance and not into having the best and latest fashion trends.
I can rememeber co workers at the tv station I worked at in Montana holding a "clothing intervention" to sit me down and tell me I was neglecting my wardrobe. And based on some colorful emails I have received, some viewers think I still do.
I only mentioned those two stores to tell other people who may not think to go there, that they should give them a chance.
I'm sorry I pushed one of your buttons. It's amazing how easily people are offended these days.
Again, that may have something to do with the fact that people are stressed out and being forced to change their lifesytles dramatically due to the recession. It's scary and it can make people really sensitive.
I get it. I myself have been a little touchy these days. Just ask the Morning Show Boyz. And that is exactly why I blogged about it yesterday. Instead, of letting it fester, I decided to share it with you.
