Spicy herb sauce
¼ c. fish sauce
3 Tbsp fresh lime juice
½ Tbsp sugar
¼ c. chopped cilantro, green onion, and mint, each
1 shallot, chopped
1 Thai chili, minced
Mix all ingredients together well and set aside.
Serve with leaf lettuce, thinly sliced cucumber, toasted buns.
More Thai variation:
*Use peanut sauce, Sriracha sauce or sweet chili sauce as condiment.
*Add 1 Tbsp green curry paste and 2 Tbsp chopped Thai basil or red curry paste and kaffir lime leaves to ground beef.
* Add 2 Tbsp finely chopped lemongrass and mint to ground beef.
