(KMOV) -- Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers celebrated the grand opening of their new Metro-East location by holding an auction on Tuesday.

The auction started at 8:00 a.m. at the Ritchie Bros. permanent auction site in Caseyville, Illinois. 

More than 1,500 items were sold at the auction. The items that were up for bidding were pieces of industrial equipment. Items such as combines, tractors, sprayers and even pick-up trucks were available at the auction.

There were 1,700 registered bidders. Of those 1,700, 569 bidders were from Illinois, 332 were from Missouri, 32 were from Mexico and 7 were from the United Arab Emirates. 48 states were represented at the auction.

The equipment items were sold to the highest bidders with no minimum bids or reserve prices.
