Plane crash lands at Metro East airport, but no one hurt

(KMOV) -- A plane crash landed on a runway at an airport in Cahokia Saturday.

Parks Airport Director Bob McDaniel said a plane was coming in for landing when its landing gear failed. The plane tilted onto one of its wings on the runway. There was also a small fuel leak, but firefighters hosed down the plane before anything could happen.

An ambulance was brought onto the scene, but the two people on board the plane refused treatment and are uninjured.
