(KMOV) – A teen will spend at least 17 years in jail for killing a Creve Coeur woman who interrupted a burglary.
Kenneth Shepard, 18, was sentenced to 20 years in prison after being convicted of killing Susan Shaffer in her home in December 2008.
Shepard will not be eligible for parole for at least 17 years.
Another teenager, Lorenzo Wilson is also accused of the crime. His trial is scheduled for December 6, 2010.
