ST. LOUIS (AP) -- Two people from St. Louis have been indicted on federal charges for allegedly making and selling heroin that killed a man.
Accused in the indictment are 24-year-old Dean Jordan and 34-year-old Elsa McKnight. Neither had listed phone numbers and it wasn't clear if they had attorneys.
The indictment alleges that in August, Jordan distributed heroin to a man in St. Louis, who later died from using the drug. It alleges that Jordan and McKnight maintained a home for the manufacture and sale of heroin.
Both are charged with conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute heroin, and maintaining a place for the unlawful manufacture and distribution of illegal drugs. Jordan faces additional charges, including distribution of heroin with a death resulting.
