(KMOV) – A St. Louis man has been charged for allegedly killing a Wellston man.

Robert Doll, III, 32, was charged with one count of First Degree Murder and one count of Armed Criminal Action.
Authorities said Doll allegedly killed Jerome Brown, 27, after he was found dead in his home on June 21 on the 1800 block of Irving. Wellston Police and family originally went to his house when Brown did not show up to work. Investigators also said Brown appeared to have been struck with a blunt object.
Doll was allegedly found driving Brown’s 2006 Cadillac STS in Springfield, Mo. The motive for the alleged homicide is currently unknown, but police say Brown and Doll were friends.
Doll is being held without bond.
