(KMOV) -- There has been no movement yet in stopping a planned strike by union workers at Boeing later this week.
Negotiators for the machinists union and Boeing met for the second day in a row with a federal mediator in Creve Coeur. They left with no deal and no plans to get together again.
A company spokesman said that Boeing had modified some parts of its final offer, but it was not enough to get an agreement, and now they’re bracing for the impact of a strike.
In response, the union issued a statement on Tuesday saying pension issues, medical coverage and contract length are still unresolved. Union leaders say they are still willing to continue discussions.
Boeing also says it’s willing to keep talking, but so far no talks are scheduled.
Close to 2500 workers are set to walk out on strike at 12:01 Friday morning if no agreement is reached.
