(KMOV) – Traffic on the northbound lanes of Interstate 270 will be temporarily diverted to the new southbound bridge over Dorsett Road this weekend.
According to MoDOT, after Thursday evening’s rush hour, crews will close the far left lane of northbound I-270. At 9 p.m. Thursday night a second left lane on I-270 will close and by the Friday morning rush hour all four northbound lanes will be moving over the new bridge.
MoDOT warns that drivers should use caution during the change. Both the southbound and northbound bypasses will have narrow lanes and no shoulders with a reduced speed of 45 mph.
The traffic shifts and reduced speed limits will remain through mid-July.
