(KMOV) -- Mizzou fans can now breathe a sigh of relief.
Texas announced on Monday it will stay with the Big 12, allowing the conference to stay alive. If Texas had decided to move conferences, sources say Mizzou could have been on the outside looking in.
As part of the deal for staying with the Big 12, Texas will receive its own TV network, officials said.
Pat Rishe, a sports economic professor at Webster University, said revenue was the major deciding factor for Texas’ decision.
